- Arbitrage
- The practice of betting on all possible outcomes of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- A point spread that gives a virtual advantage or disadvantage to each team to level the playing field, eliminating the draw option.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of setting a budget for betting and deciding how much to wager on each bet to avoid overspending.
- Bet Builder
- An online tool that lets you combine different markets from a single match into one custom bet.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (home win/draw, away win/draw, or win for either team) in a single wager.
- Draw No Bet
- A market where you pick a team to win, and if the match ends in a draw your stake is refunded.
- Edge
- The statistical advantage a bettor has over the bookmaker in a particular wager, often expressed as a percentage.
- Free Bet
- A bonus token you can use to place a bet without using your own money; any winnings are usually returned minus the stake.
- In-Play
- Bets placed after a match has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker adds to the odds, often reflected in the spread between the implied probabilities and the true odds.
- Lay Bet
- A bet that a particular outcome will not happen, typically placed on a betting exchange where you act as the bookmaker.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win a match outright, with odds expressed as a positive or negative number.
- Odds
- The numerical expression of how likely an outcome is, indicating the potential payout relative to the stake.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals scored in a match will be higher or lower than a set number.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Payout
- The total amount of money you receive when a bet wins, including the original stake and profit.
- Provably Fair
- A system that uses cryptographic algorithms to demonstrate that a bet’s result was not manipulated.
- Risk-Free Bet
- A promotion that refunds your stake if your bet loses, typically as a free bet up to a set amount.
- RTP
- Return to Player, a percentage that indicates how much of the total wagered money a game pays back to players over time.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a bet.
- System Bet
- A type of multiple bet that combines several selections in different combos, allowing a payout even if some selections lose.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving an expected positive return.
- Volatility
- A measure of how much the outcomes of a bet or game swing up and down in the short term.
- Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings from it.
